MONTE VISTA — Ursula M. Romo, 83, of Monte Vista, died July 24, 2009.

She was born Nov. 29, 1925 in Arroyo Hondo, N.M. to Ruben and Rosaura Vigil Medina.

Ursula enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with her loving family.

Her parents; husband, Leopoldo Romo; son, Clarence Romo; and brothers, Onesimo Herrera, Celestino Medina and Ernesto Herrera preceded her in death.

Survivors include one daughter, Betty (Gabriel) Trujillo of Monte Vista; two sons Ron (Simonita) Romo and LeRoy (Joan) Romo, both of San Antonio, Texas; seven grandchildren and six great- grandchildren; four sisters, Della (Jim) Smith and Nobella (Elmer) Mondragon, both of Pueblo; Beatrice Gonzales and Juanita (Manuel) Valerio both of Arroyo Hondo; sister-in-law Juanita Romo of Center; two brothers, Tony (Odelia) Medina and Juanito (Beatrice) Medina, both of Arroyo Hondo; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, at St. Joseph Church in Monte Vista.
