CENTER — The Center Consolidated School District invites the community to celebrate the grand opening of the new Center Schools complex July 28 at 1 p.m., 550 South Broadway in Center.
The ribbon cutting will celebrate the near-completion of the brand new $31 million dollar facility funded by Colorado's Building Excellent Schools Today program and the taxpayers of the Center Consolidated School District.
School officials say they hope by then there will be plenty of parking on site. A tour of the new facility will take place immediately afterward.
More adventurous attendees are invited to attend a post ceremony celebration at the home of George Welsh and Rebecca Reed, still approximately one block away at 174 East Third Street in Center.
“This is an invitation to attend a once-in-a-generation, perhaps once-in-a-lifetime event,” Center Consolidated Schools Supt. George Welsh said. “We look forward to sharing this wonderful event with each of you.”
