CENTER — Independence Day Parade watchers lined both sides of Worth Street for two and a half blocks to take in the town’s Fourth of July parade and later set up camp at the park to listen to the bands, visit with friends and relatives and try out the food vendor fare.
Later a good-sized crowd watched fireworks at Community Park.
Several bands entertained the crowds, and young and old both enjoyed listening and dancing. Families set up tents in the park so young ones could watch and listen wind and bug free, but the weather was perfect.
Kids of all ages enjoyed the water park and skateboarders maneuvered their way around the park paths. Pets also came to enjoy the parade and park activities.
Bikers cruised the streets following the poker run and joined in the fun. Many attending the event said it is the liveliest they have seen Center in a long time.
Center will continue its band concerts in the park throughout the summer.
