Dear Editor,
I am writing this letter in support of Misty Palacios’ candidacy for re-election to the Center Board of Education.
Misty has done an outstanding job as our vice-president. She was elected to the board in the recall election of March 2015 when James Sanchez was replaced by a wide margin.
Misty is always prepared for meetings and asks questions to gain a better understanding of issues and situations so she can guarantee she is doing what’s best for children before she casts her vote. She understands the importance of carefully listening to both sides of the story. She also has the strength and leadership skills to be in a position of trust as an elected official and to be a voice for our students, parents, staff and community members.
I invite the public to attend our meetings; we gather every second Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. This would allow you to see her in action.  
Misty is a true asset to our team. She is a highly effective teammate— smart, and deeply committed to the wellbeing of our students and community. She is an easy choice in the upcoming election on Nov. 7. Our students and staff at Center Schools deserve only the best. Misty is easily our best option in this election!
