SdC FBLA begins year

MOSCA — The 2017-18 school year, began with a variety of activities for the Sangre De Cristo FBLA chapter. The annual recruitment party was held on Aug. 24 with perspective and returning members looking to be involved in the chapter this year. The next day August 25th, members cleaned a two mile stretch of Highway 17. This is an annual event providing members an opportunity to give back and keep our community beautiful.
Officers were installed and members inducted on August 31st by Ethan Reschke, Colorado FBLA state vice president representing District 8 and a senior at Sargent High School. A total of 17 members were in attendance.
This year’s officers include: President Danielle Solis; Vice President Dillon Palmgren; Secretary Alyssa Mortensen; Treasurer Mercades Gregory; and Reporter KayLa Moore. The evening included the officers presenting the Emblem Ceremony.
Additional activities for the month of September included officers attending and presenting at the school board meeting; members assisting with concessions for junior high sports and high school volleyball; and a member lunch. Members are excited about the upcoming year.
