SAGUACHE COUNTY — The following information was provided by the Saguache County Sheriff’s Office for the period between May 24-31, 2021. 

The Sheriff’s Department’s activity on the road included 18 traffic stops, three lockouts, one courtesy ride, two traffic complaints, five motorist assists, and one injury crash. 

In addition, staff recorded one report of a stolen vehicle, four reports of trespassing, one report of stolen property, one report of loose livestock, one report of theft, three reports of animal problems, one report of harassment, three reports of suspicious activity, one alarm report, one drunken-driving report, one noise complaint report, one civil dispute report, served two warrants, provided information 12 times, patrolled town of Saguache 12 times and town of Crestone once, conducted three welfare checks, and assisted a citizen.  

They also monitored 12 controlled burns, three fires (other) and assisted with seven ambulance calls. 

Arrests 

• Brendan Norbert Pulver, 36, Colorado Springs, failure to comply.
• Mario Albert Ortega, 33, Center, vehicular eluding, drove vehicle when license suspended, reckless driving.
• Jason Gilbert Castillo, 45, abuse of a corpse, child abuse acts with criminal negligence.
• Tristan Alec Stamper, 24, Center, domestic violence, harassment, child abuse (places at risk without injury).
