Bob Phillips, 70, of Clinton, Tenn., peacefully passed away on April 19, 2025, after a prolonged battle with cancer. He was born on Aug. 24, 1954, to Shirley and Robert Phillips.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle Phillips; sister, Tina (Mike) Stewart; children, Daniel Hocker, Jason Stevens, Lindsey Davis, and Joshua (Rose) Phillips; along with nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Bob was the owner of Lightshine Music and was deeply loved by many in the community. A talented local musician with the “Blue Sky Band,” he was known for his kindness and generosity, serving as a pillar in the community and proud US Army Veteran. In addition to performing as a musician, he provided sound for various venues, including Society Hall and festivals in the parks in and around the San Luis Valley.
Bob was married to Michelle Phillips for 42 years. He cherished spending time with his family, playing music, and indulging in rock hounding.
A public viewing will be held at Rogers Family Mortuary, 205 State Ave., Alamosa, from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2025.
A private service will be conducted for family and close friends, with a celebration of life planned for a later date. Further details will be provided.
