AURORA – The Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) has unveiled its new logo, along with a branding and style guide, that the association will implement beginning with this 2025-26 school year. The new logo – developed by Rickabaugh Graphics – reflects the association’s commitment to excellence in academics, athletics and activities in Colorado.
“This logo is more than just a new look; it represents who CHSAA is and what matters most to our membership,” CHSAA Commissioner Mike Krueger said. “The last time we had a brand refresh was in the 1980s, so it was important to us that while we looked to the future, that we were also respectful of our past, as the flag logo has represented CHSAA’s identity for the last 30-plus years. Throughout the process of creating something more modern, we felt we were able to identify and effectively capture the essence of the association today. Our new logo features geographical elements synonymous with Colorado while also emphasizing our membership’s strength and its commitment to excellence.”
In pursuit of excellence, CHSAA strives to create a positive and equitable environment in which all qualified student participants are challenged and inspired to meet their highest potential.
Within the new logo, the shield shape symbolizes the strength and unity of CHSAA, while the three stars over the Colorado Rockies denote high aspirations in academics, athletics and activities. In addition, the font used - specifically the C in CHSAA - matches the font used in the state of Colorado flag, which draws ties to the statewide representation, while the HS in CHSAA being used in an alternate color is a nod to CHSAA being a membership of high schools.
The new logo also maintains CHSAA’s longtime primary color of blue, while it also adds in gold to highlight tradition and success.
The new brand identity, including championship logos and variations of the new logo, will be unveiled throughout the 2025-26 school year. “I want to extend my sincere thanks to our entire CHSAA branding team and to Rickabaugh Graphics for their leadership, creative vision and collaborative spirit throughout this process,” Krueger stated. “Their time, professionalism and dedication to capturing the heart of CHSAA made this rebrand possible, and we are extremely excited about this new era.”
