ALAMOSA – The Colorado High School Activities Association released its All-State softball teams on Monday.
The All-State teams are posted on the CHSAANow.com web site.
The Lady Mean Moose had one All-State player in junior Araceli Molina, who was an honorable mention selection in Class 3A.
Molina, a junior, was the full-time starter in center field for the Lady Mean Moose. She batted .461 with 35 hits in 76 at-bats. She also had three doubles, four triples and five home runs.
Molina also scored 33 runs and stole 19 bases.
She also had a .959 fielding average.
This is the second straight year Molina has earned All-State honors.
Alamosa had an overall record of 12 wins and 14 losses this year and it was 1-7 in the Tri-Peaks League. The Lady Mean Moose went to a regional tournament where it finished second and they also advanced to the Class 3A State Tournament.
