ALAMOSA – The annual Rio Trio took place on Saturday. The race started and ended at Cole Park and it consisted of a 5K run, a three-mile paddle on the Rio Grande River, and an eight-mile bike race.
Chad Mortensen of Alamosa was the individual winning in 1:24.08. Dana Callahan of Colorado Springs had the best women’s time of 1:38.07.
In team action, The Slow Burn was the winner of the three-person coed/female section in 1:25.03. Not Too Young To Try won the three-person family race in 1:40.13, and Dodging Enchiladas won the teen relay in 1:28.03.
