ALAMOSA — Followers of local artist Cindy Commeto are most familiar with her unique plein air style paintings in acrylic, drawn from the landscape surrounding her home in San Luis. But this year’s exhibit at Milagro’s Coffee House also puts Commeto’s talent in oil on display as, included in the collection, are paintings primarily of aspen done in her studio this winter.
Since coming to the San Luis Valley, Commeto’s work has been on exhibit a number of times in a variety of settings. “This is my favorite show yet,” she says. “If you love aspen, this is the show for you.”
Commeto will be having a reception at Milagro’s Coffee House on Saturday, March 22, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Milagro’s is located at 529 Main St. in Alamosa.
