COSTILLA COUNTY – A wildland fire is burning in the area of Chama Canyon, east of San Luis. The fire, which was reported at about noon on Friday, March 20, was estimated at 35 acres and was active. As of 4:25 p.m., it had reportedly grown to 106 acres.

COSTILLA COUNTY – A wildland fire is burning in the area of Chama Canyon, east of San Luis. The fire, which was reported at about noon on Friday, March 20, was estimated at 35 acres and was active. As of 4:25 p.m., it had reportedly grown to 106 acres.

Fire services from Alamosa County, Costilla County, and the Colorado Division of Fire Protection and Control are on scene. Aerial resources are working the fire. Officials are advising to stay clear of the area and allow crews to work.
